They wont give your money back if your scammed unless its still pending transaction. In my case i wasn't even aware i had been scammed until 5 days later and the scammers left $4 on each $500 card and American Express will refund only for the amount on it at the time it's reported. Its ridiculous they wanted to refund the $4 what about the other $496???
