Asking for 3/4 of payment in first installment, absolute joke!

What's the point of splitting the payment into 3 if they ask for the bulk of it in the first payment. Wanted to buy something for €795 and instead of it being €265 in 3 installments, they only offered me to pay €560 in the first payment. This isn't the first time this has happened and defeats the whole purpose of paying things off in installments. Waste of time company and won't be using them again.
