I have used AbeBooks for years. They used to be good. I hadn't purchased anything for some time. In the last couple weeks I made some purchases. The books I received were not as described. They were dilapidated ripped, missing parts of the cover, they should have been put into the trash not sold. After a complaint, I was given the choice to pay with my own money to return the books for a refund. This is not a refund. I was given a 20% discount. I'm not shopping AbeBooks any longer. There is no where to give a poor review of sellers that sell dilapidated books. This is unfair to the customer. Book sellers ratings go by how many books have been returned. It is a waste of money to pay to have the books returned. How is it fair to think that you are purchasing from a top-ranked seller when it is impossible to leave them a bad review after a bad purchase? This needs fixed!
