I recently ordered a mattress through Amazon Prime. Delivery estimate was 1-2 days, which was important for me because I have started paying rent on a new apartment and I need the mattress to move in. It is now 11 days later and the mattress still hasn't arrived. No surprise when I find out this delivery was given to Purolator, the worst delivery company on the planet. Of course I would never use Purolator for anything, but the problem with Prime is that you cannot choose the carrier. I contacted Purolator and they said to expect the delivery by February 15 - they have said that, for them, this is normal ETA for a delivery like this. I ordered this package on Jan 28. It's being delivered from Woodbridge to downtown Toronto - a 35 minute drive. It's going to take Purolator EIGHTEEN days, costing me rent the whole time. I would never have ordered it if I knew it was going to take this long. I pay for Prime specifically for quick delivery, this level of service is unacceptable.
