I closed Amazon account because they required me to travel 40 km to return goods that were not fit for purpose to their depot (could not do what they claimed because of manufacturing defects) - no other option for return was offered. After that I found that I no longer could order on my Kindle, I opened a new account, bought three books and they did not appear on kindle, so I asked Amazon help to connect to my kindle and send the three books. They did so and the three books appeared, but they removed access to the hundreds of books already on my kindle (a thousand dollars or more, five never read), They never said they would do this or this would happen. They refuse to replace the books to my kindle - despite them presumably being on its hard drive! i.e. they say getting a new account and connecting it has cut off all access to what I bought over the years. They have offered no refund for all those books, and refused to contact a senior person for discussion.
