Shockingly bad support and service

Shockingly bad support and service! My advice is to stay away as I could not believe how I have been treated by what I can only describe as a Circus Act of a company!I was looking to replace the laptops for my sales team which we currently use Microsoft Surface Books but liked the idea of the ZenBook Duo with the dual screens. I looked at the spec on asus.com which showed a good specification laptop with the main display also being a touchscreen so I went and ordered the first one via John Lewis to test it.The item shipped and arrived in good time but when I received the e-receipt I checked the specification and it shown on John Lewis that the main display was not touchscreen which was a requirement so I checked again on asus.com and it stated that it was.To be safe I contacted Asus support and spoke to Nelvi who after a conversation (which was recorded) said he thought it was a touchscreen but took the serial number off the box and said he would speak to Level 2 and confirm as on the Asus site is a hidden spec page which says there are two options. Sure enough the next day he came back and confirmed via email he had a response from L2 and that the model I had did indeed have a touchscreen.Of course I then decided to open the unit and start setting it up only to find that there isn't a touchscreen.I immediately went back to Nelvi and then got a reply from Peter who started with the excuses and told me that the product pages on the website were 'general' so I should go back to the reseller!Shocked at the response I replied and said it wasn't fair for me to go back to them as it was you guys who confirmed both via recorded message and email that via the serial number that it had the touchscreen specification that I wanted so how can I expect them to fix your error!I then get a response from Mieke apologising for giving me the wrong information and basically its not their problem and I have to go back to the retailer. My suggestion is to give these clowns a very wide birth and go for a reputable company who will stand by their word and their product and look after their customers.
