Unprofessionalism and lack of accountability

I am extremely dissatisfied and disappointed with my last experience with Booking.com. I used to chose Booking for my accommodation quite often but this last time they were 100% unprofessional. A couple weeks after my confirmed reservation, they informed me of a pricing error in my reservation (due to an accommodation's registration error) and refused to take responsibility or at least provide a compensation. Instead, they repeatedly asking me to either accept a much higher price (calling it "an offer") or cancel myself. Despite multiple emails over weeks, that most of them remained unanswered, I received no clear resolution or support. They of coursed preferred to accommodate the accommodation rather than me.The lack of accountability and communication (it was taking them a week to reply to my emails and follow ups) has caused significant stress and inconvenience. I expected much better from a platform of this size.
