I booked an intra-EU flight, which was cancelled. Booking.com never notified me despite having my contact details, instead I discovered via the flighty app I use to track my flights. I contacted them and (contary to European Union Air Passenger Protection Legislation) they refused to rebook me. The agent in India pressured me constantly to accept the refund, which I refused as legally that would absolve their liability. Instead I stood my ground and they continued to lie and refuesed to rebook me. They have no understanding of legal obligations and clearly do not train their staff who just say "not possible sir". I escalated and they promised a call back - it never came. I have used booking.com for hotel bookings in the past without issue, but their flight booking cancelation management was a complete disgrace - illegal and discriminatory, predatory practices displayed throughout the process of getting rebooked. Never again. It's high time someone revoked their license to trade in the EU as they disregard legislation in place.
