Went to local BP Connect in Dumbarton today to fuel car. On arrival I was lucky enough to get the one available pump as all the rest had cars parked alongside. At most of the pumps there was no-one either at the pump or in the car. Refuelled using BPMe App (which takes a bit of time) and I left before any of the other vehicles that were parked alongside the pumps when I arrived. A queue had formed and was almost backed up on to the A82. It was obvious that the drivers of the cars in question, if not in the short queue to pay, were either shopping in M & S or waiting on a coffee. Why don't they fuel up, pay and then park in one of the available spaces away from the pumps before shopping or getting a coffee rather than block access to the pumps? Staff need to be more aware and maybe there needs to be some sort of signage to prevent this from happening. The drivers of at least 4 of the cars (3 were in queue at paypoint) were blocking access to pumps while they shopped or had a coffee.
