The subscription for this month made my bank account negative. I reached out within hours of the charge to get a refund on the same day- they refused because of terms and conditions. At first, they told me a refund would be posted so clearly this is something they do offer in some cases. Then they said they were mistaken and that my subscription would ONLY be cancelled for the next month, however, no refund would be issued after all.I asked the same day, had not used the service for the time being charged for, it made my bank account negative. This is a service for students, but they would rather have $16.99 than a student not have a negative account. It was escalated and the person still said the same thing, they could only cancel the subscription, not refund it.I also received an email from Trustpilot asking to verify and prove this as Chegg tried to claim this did not happen and tried to have my feedback removed. Fortunately for me, I had the entire exchange still, as well as the text message from my bank same day saying my account was now negative. Nothing about this review is false and it is shameful they tried to have this removed.
