If you want to sell products on this app, you need to buy a 100 DOLLAR GIFT CARD. They claim it's to stop fraud and whatnot but its actual BS. I bought my 100-dollar gift card, but first I bought a 50-dollar gift card because THEY SAID IT COULD BE BETWEEN 50-100. After I bought the $50 card, they said I needed to buy a $100 card. The amount of money on your purchased gift card equates to your credit limit. More money on gift cards = more money on credit limit, which means more money you can have in your Depop balance I guess. The original 50 gift card did not give me a high enough "credit limit" so then I had to buy the additional gift card. What irritates me about this is that they never said to buy the 100-dollar gift card first. They knew my credit limit wouldn't be enough, but chose not to say anything. After buying the two cards, I thought I would be able to sell my item (a dress that cost 130 dollars) but guess what? I wasn't. This is because they wanted ME to buy a 500 DOLLAR GIFT CARD!!! You wanna know why? As a "protection fee"!!! The company should pay for that, not me. They never tell me what's next. If I had been told about all this gift card nonsense in the beginning, I would have NEVER EVER done it. Now my customer who wanted to buy my dress does not have her 130 dollars. I don't have her 130 dollars in my Depop balance, DEPOP HAS IT, and they won't refund her money because I won't pay for the "protection fee". My account isn't authorized without the 500-dollar gift card, so I cannot cancel my customer's order so that she can get her money back. DEPOP SCAMS SELLERS AND BUYERS!!! Depop also spent the money on the two giftcards I linked to my account. One was used to purchase things from target, Im not sure what the other was used for the. All I know is that the balance on the both of the cards is DAMN NEAR ZERO DOLLARS! How were these people planning on refunding me when they had already spent my money?!
