Private seller on ebay?....Don't bother. Over the past year this is my experience.....The hoops to jump through to advertise are designed to trick you into giving your item away for peanuts. If you manage to suss these out then your advert is placed many many pages down the system, such that the customer never reaches it...UNLESS....you pay a fee to bump it up....hence reducing what you sell it for! Should you manage to sell it....the system is again geared heavily in favour of the buyer...I sold one carefully timed expensive item just before Christmas, only for the highest bidder not to pay!!! It was very difficult to be able to leave a review on the buyer...and the next seller was unlikely to see it.....Once you've actually sold, you then get late fees coming through from the courier claiming the item was too big or too heavy.....Of course, if you were cynical enough to have taken pictures and weighed and photoed it then so much the better, you can dispute....but don't get rid of the proof as the unexpected fee will come in sometime after.....Overall I would say literally don't bother. it's not worth the time, energy or money!
