I've been a loyal subscriber for many years and am genuinely surprised that they never incorporated sub-folders into the system. This is indicative of a company that believes it knows better than its users. When you browse through the forums, you'll see moderators consistently defending the company's stance against subfolders, often to the point of clashing with Evernote's own user base. This behavior serves as a textbook case of how not to manage a SaaS company. Truly listening to your user base is key, and their poor Trustpilot rating reflects this failure.For over a decade, Evernote tried to make the case to its organization-savvy users that subfolders were outdated. Yet, contemporarily, Apple Notes, Mac, MS OS, Outlook, and even Gmail (under the guise of "labels") employ them.
