We booked a guide who cancelled 5 hours before the tour was to start. GETYOURGUIDE refused to return our money saying we did not cancel 24 hours before as is their policy. Our guide canceled not us!! Get Your Guide responded with a request to respond to a website that does not exist so I will not be changing my opinion of the company. I have been in contact with Get Your Guide over the past several days. When we booked the shore excursion it was listed under the port we were sailing to. Their reason for not giving us a refund: The ship changed ports( no it did not) Their website listed this tour as close to this town. ( if it was close to this town why did the guide say he was over 2 hours away so he wasn't doing rhe tour?) As tourists we rely on the information provided in the websites as we are not familiar with the areas. Get Your Guide has taken no responsibility for this false advertising.Also why would a guide whose itinerary changes day to day wait until 5 hours before a tour to decide that it was not an excursion that he wanted to do that day as it was 2 hours away. Shouldn't they have some responsibility ? If we had been contacted with this information more than 24 hours before the excursion we would have been eligible for a full refund BUT since the guide cancelled 5 hours before we get nothing!! Our only mistake was trusting Gef Your Guide!! BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!!!
