I booked two Holiday Inn rooms...one in Lamar, Colorado (the stay was great), the second one in LaJunta, Colorado. One day apart from each other and I booked a stay in mid-July for a stay in September. When I got to LaJunta Holiday Inn, they "sold my room" to someone else the same day I was supposed to arrive. I was left roomless (homeless) for the evening. The hotel did not seem to care and could not accommodate my reservation (why even book a room) so, I reached out to IHG Headquarters. They promised me a return call within 4 - 8 hours, never heard back. I spent 2 hours with them on the phone. Very difficult to understand as English did not seem like their native language. I also spoke to Elle, The Senior Case Manager for guest relations. She was very rude and did not offer any help or suggestions. She said the hotel had to resolve it and she could not help.I called the hotel back. No great resolutions. I will strongly hesitate to stay at a Holiday Inn or any other IHG hotel/housing accomodation again. I hope you have a better stay!
