Discovered today that as a couple…

Discovered today that as a couple staying in the same room, we each would have to make separate reservations (with separate rewards numbers) in order to allow the redeem to airline points for either one of us. Not entirely sure how you make two reservations for the same room. Although she was polite and attempted to be helpful (I know they probably follow a script), the customer service rep said "well, you would need to book two rooms...what???So in order to redeem rewards points toward airlines only the individual that has the account in their name gets to redeem points. Very odd they might need to look at that policy.
