Just Giving automatically adds an extra 16% tip (!) for itself to the donation amount. And does this in a relatively intransparent and hard-to-change way. This is in addition to a 5% fee they charge for handling the GiftAid reimbursement. They are clearly primarily focused on scamming off the maximum profit for themselves. JustGiving is owned by a large, commercial company listed on the US stock market called Blackbaud. Their CEO Mike Gianoni is paid almost USD 10 million per year in each of the past 10 years.I would encourage users of JustGiving to be careful about this 16% add-on to JustGiving (and instead give a larger amount to the charity directly).
