I placed my order the day before, for an afternoon pick-up between 3 - 4 pm the next day.My local Kroger doesn’t offer pick-up, so I have to drive 38 miles round trip to do a Kroger pick-up.I thought if was a wonderful idea until it wasn’t. Today, they waited until I was there to pick-up my order to say it wasn’t ready. Could I go home and return later? Home is 19 miles away, so no, I don’t think so.The Kroger app would not work for the current order, so I couldn’t answer any of their questions concerning substitutions. I picked up a $58 order only to discover the only item available on my list, was a 1 pound box of butter.The other items on my list were out of stock, but the app didn’t show they were out of stock when I placed my order.I ended up being charged the $4.95 pickup charge on my order because the total was less than their $35 min charge.I called Customer Service and the young person I talked to said she would give me a $10 refund for the aggravation and to cover the pickup fee.My credit card has yet to show the $10 refund.I will do my shopping elsewhere from now on.I am on a fixed income. I can’t drive that far for a pound of butter!!!
