Arbitrarily restricting accounts in order to get people to verify with a government ID and help them collect data via their dubious Persona platform. This is certainly illegal and does not align with EU laws. Their small print basically says that they can do with all data whatever they want.So they just lock honest people out of their accounts for absolutely no reason. Or how they say it: "We take proactive actions to protect you. We first need to verify your identity to ensure your account safety. To regain access to your account, please submit a government-issued ID."What a nice, capitalist way to "protect me". They locked me out of my own account that is verified with my phone number, and has a 2-step verification.Reading up on it in forums, this seems to have become pretty normal, and people keep telling that even after they provided an ID, they could still not avail access to their own account any more. What could one expect when Microsoft bought Linkedin ... nothing good, of course.
