First, it's infuriating that they charge for premium service AND still run ads.I'm an Independent Recruiter and there is no way I can afford Linkedin Recruiter. Unfortunately, this is the version that would provide me the most benefit. When I spoke to someone at Linkedin to inquire about Recruiter and found out how expensive it is, they gave the following explanation; based on Recruiter fees they estimate that 1 candidate placement would cover the cost of Linkedin. Here is the reality; most recruiters don't work for huge contingency fees, therefore, Linkedin is making it more difficult to compete for business. ONLY large recruiting firms & corporations can afford to purchase Linkedin Recruiter. I use Sales Navigator but it's much less effective, for my purposes. Now to add insult to injury they have removed the "Tag" caption that you can add on saved searches. I used the tags BECAUSE I can't delete anyone from a saved search (which is absurd) so I make notes if someone was Not Interested, Not Qualified, etc.... Linkedin is only effective if you are part of an organization that can afford it's excessive fees. So... I have to endure the "ads" the "pop-ups" the "likes." It's getting worse & worse every year.
