I recently had the misfortune of riding with a lift driver. I never read the reviews so had no idea of their poor reputation. The driver named Vikas picked me up at my home and took me to airport. He proceeded to drive right past the departure area and when I asked why he insisted that arrival is where l should go. He then dropped me off in arrival in the middle of traffic on both sides. He remained in the vehicle while I had to retrieve my suitcase from the trunk of the vehicle and then weive my way through traffic. Once inside, i had to make the long commute back to the departure area. Before exiting the vehicle I pointed out the unsafe practice and that I would report him. Within 10 minutes of being inside the airport i got a text from Lyft saying the driver advised them I refused to wear my seat belt which was an unsafe practice. This was a total lie. Vikas had preemptively made a false compliant against me in anticipation of the complaint i told him i would make against him. I then asked for a copy of the ride since cameras are in the vehicle. They didn't respond yo my request and i kept asking. Eventually they admitted that the claim against me was false. This was because there are cameras in the vehicle and they know it would reveal their lie. They would not however produce a copy of the ride. Lyft should never have sent me that text since the first thing they should do when a complaint is made is to review the ride. They were trying to protect the driver and themselves. Totally reckless and uncaring company. With so many unsatisfied customers, people shouldn't use their service so that they can quietly disappear.
