Scam selling defective merchandise

New Update - Mashable claims that they have issued a full refund but it has NEVER appeared. Capital One said that they have never responded to the dispute. Now I have received a new email from Mashable that it will be only a PARTIAL refund and I must PAY to return their defective merchandise. I have already been credited for the FULL amount by Capital One. If Mashable refuses to respond, that becomes permanent. Avoid these lying scammers.Update - after filing a dispute with Capital One about this purchase, Mashable has repeatedly tried to strong arm to cancel the dispute. stating that I will never get my money back unless I do. They have not responded to Capital One's requests concerning the dispute. Mashable claims they will give a refund but refuse to be specific as to dollar and cents (they previously stated a smaller amount than charged). I ordered a smartwatch and the additional one year warranty. It arrived as a complete DUD. It will not charge, it will not power on. There is no customer service help enclosed with the watch or on the box. It does tell you to download the app also produced by the manufacturer. THAT'S WHERE THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS ARE. So many people with my exact problem - a DUD. Mashable's response? Follow the enclosed directions for return (THEY DON'T WORK) and I must pay return shipping. Returning shipping for a dud that won't turn on? This is a scam perpetuated by Mashable. I have filed a scam complaint with Capital One.
