If I could give them a zero, I would. I have had great success in the past buying from them, so when it came time to sell something, I thought I would have the same experience. I was wrong. I sold an item(used once and put back in the box). I made sure everything was good to go on it before I listed it, checking everything, including writing on the screen(E tablet). I took many pictures of the item and described the item word for word. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the item. I even took pictures of the item before I shipped it out. The buyer received the item. I hadn’t heard anything for almost three days. When the window was about ready to close to allow me to get payment, the buyer randomly came up with requesting a return based on the pen not “writing” on one part of the screen. The buyer used the pen part it looked like, but I can’t valid that. But I can tell you I took a picture of the screen to show the screen was in perfect shape, so it was something the buyer did. I submitted proof that everything was fine, but less than a hour, Mercari issued a refund without getting my further input, except me contesting the refund. Mercari didn’t care to look into the manner at all, even stating the buyer had 3 days to look over item. At this time, I have yet to get my item back and everything is in limbo. I will never deal with Mercari again. After I get my item back, I will delete my account.
