In general the nest is a poor product- I much prefer the hive in so many ways I can't start to write them all down (I own 2 houses). But recently, the heatlink for my nest died. They actually notified me that it wasn't working- which was scary but good. However all the contact details they gave were incorrect, and it took over an hour to reach someone. It sounded great at first- they were sending a new heatlink and would reimburse me for the work. OK first they sent the heatlink to the wrong house (and refused to collect it and send it to the right house) and secondly after the plumber taking great pains to do everything correctly on the invoice they refused to pay because he only had my last name. The customer service is as bad as the product.
