Buying PS5 from NewEgg voids manufacturers warranty

I bought a Sony PlayStation 5 through NewEgg, apparently through their "marketplace" in March 2021. In October 2021, my system froze and no longer worked. I contacted NewEgg to see about a replacement or refund and was told by the chat representative that they would contact the marketplace seller and have them contact me to provide a refund. (No mention of return policy or warranty). After 3 days with no contact from the marketplace seller, I contacted another NewEgg chat representative who informed me that it the PS5 purchase had passed the 30 day return policy and that buying through NewEgg meant there was no manufacturers warranty! Here's the chat rep's response: "I do apologize for this situation and understand your feeling. However, Buying through NewEgg does not voids the manufacturers warranty, it is just that you purchased a product without manufacturer warranty." WHAT??? I'm pretty sure Sony isn't aware of that. From Sony's website: "Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC ("SIE") warrants to the original purchaser ("you") that the PS5 hardware, which includes components contained in the retail box with this hardware ("Product"), will be free from material defects in material and workmanship for a period of one year from the original date of purchase (the "Warranty Period"). "I'll admit I was excited to find a PS5 at all, given its supply issues, (even though the price was jacked up 190% to take advantage of the supply situation), and may not have read NewEgg's extensive terms and conditions in full (who does?), but this is beyond the pale. Who on earth expects to pay for an expensive electronic system and give up any manufacturer's warranty because of the retailer you chose!??? Well, apparently I did by making the mistake of assuming NewEgg's return and warranty policies were fair and reasonable. Buyer beware of NewEgg.
