I used to trust newegg

I used to trust newegg, but no longer can. First I had an issue with a reseller that said I would get a cable in a few days. I waited a few days and nothing, so I contacted the reseller. He informed me that it was now out of stock, and coming from china. So, he sold it stating that it was in stock on the website, but didn't bother to communicate to me that it was out of stock until I contacted him. He acted like I was an idiot because I wasn't willing to wait a month for an HDMI cable. I cancelled the item.Next: Last week on the 9th I purchased a hard drive for my NAS. The hard drive sat in there warehouse stating shipping label created until the 12th which then states "package scanned at facility in commerce, ca. On the 13th it states shipment delayed, and then on the 14th Ontrac shows the package arrived at there facility in my city. Also on the 14th ontracs website says shipment delayed. On the 15th it shows out for delivery, but then later says shipment delayed. I called on the 15th and was told that the shipment was on the ontrac vehicle for delivery but was taken back to the warehouse for some reason. Today I call Ontrac again and was told this morning that they would email the warehouse to find out what is going on. I called again about 3 pm and was told that my package is in the warehouse and won't be delivered today. They couldn't tell me a date that it would be delivered. Sooo I contacted newegg and they told me they know about the issue and there is not much they can do. They did say I should receive it by the 18th, and if not they can offer me a refund (which will take upto three days to get), oh and a 14 dollar gift card. I don't want your ... gift card I want what I paid for. Oh, well guess amazon will get more of my business from now on. This is just bad customer service, period.
