Concert was a must see, and I almost didn't

Loved the pricing and quickly I was able to get the tickets I wanted. After buying the tickets, I noticed a few things that almost created a cataclysmic failure for what I bought. Songkick sends out emails for VIP information 3 days before you can use your VIP tickets. Concert was on a Monday at 7 pm, I got the email Friday evening at 4 pm. I work in an office, where Fridays are the days you set up your next week. Friday by 4 pm, I had set up an appointment for 4 pm Monday (the same day as the concert), and then, as I got the email I need to be at the concert hall at the same time. Last time this particular artist rolled through town, I had to give up my tickets, and I heard it was an amazing show for the next month. So, Songkick sent out the email about the concert exactly 72 hours before I needed to be at the concert hall. My life isn't a movie, so why am I getting an email about a concert I've had tickets for 3 months exactly 72 hours before it happens? I had 72 hours to adjust my whole Monday, and change the timing of my meeting with the CEO about my next big career step in the company. Do I live to work or do I work to live? I centrally work so I can go live and be a person, I don't dare live just so I can work and make progress. It so happens that the CEO of my company is amazing and he makes sure to put the person before the company. Songkick, you get 4 stars only because the Concert was life changing and my bosses put the person before the company.
