Basically Thievery

Southwest Airlines has a terrible business model. If you reserve a flight six months in advance then cancel the flight reservation within a week, you are not able to receive a refund for the cost of the flight. Instead, they only issue you a credit that you can use towards purchasing another flight at Southwest, which can only be used within 12 months. If you want to actually be refunded for something that you paid for but never received, you would need to pay more money in the first place for the ticket, just in the possible circumstance that you would need to cancel the flight later. I don't understand how a business can receive payment for a service that is never provided and not issue a refund for the service. Will not be flying Southwest Airlines again.
