I used to appreciate Target for its commitment to inclusivity, but it’s clear that the company is now backing away from DEI efforts under political pressure. The decision to remove and scale back Pride merchandise due to extremist backlash shows that Target is more concerned about appeasing bigots than standing by the LGBTQ+ community. If a company won’t defend the values it claims to support, then it doesn’t deserve my business. I’ll be shopping elsewhere.
