I wouldn't continue with the vile Telegraph Puzzles app if was free forever. I simply cannot bear to see it. Not only is it unpleasant and tiresome to use, it is ugly and childish. (What marketing genius thinks that a Telegraph reader, having completed a quick crossword, wants to be "congratulated" by a kid's cartoon character waving a flag? Good grief.) No longer having a crossword to enjoy with my morning coffee and newspaper I will be researching alternatives before the paper app comes up for renewal next time. The online edition of the Daily Telegraph is worth so much less now.
