I bought the Collectors Edition for Frontiers of Pandora from Game which is Ubisoft's UK supplier. I was absolutely gutted when it arrived yesterday and was partially damaged. As part of the edition there is a coffee table style art book that has 2 pages glued together about halfway in. They are so welded down that there is no way of prising the pages apart without causing further damage. The book is not available for purchase anywhere else so it isnt like I can just buy the book elsewhere and enjoy the rest of it. In terms of collectability value, the damage therefore renders the Collectors Edition that I paid £200 for utterly worthless. As Ubisoft designed and developed the Collectors Edition we got in touch with them, not only explaining the problem but also providing pictures and proof of purchase. Our hope was that they might be able to send us a replacement book as we know that other game companies have done this for their gamers in similar circumstances. Unfortunately, Ubisoft is a company that doesn't give a damn about its gamers. They told us that we need to take it up with Game. This was damaged when it was made guys, have you not heard of quality control?! That was last night and we are still waiting for an acknowledgment from Game. I can't tell you how disappointed I am. I ordered this 6 months ago and have looked forward to it for 6 months. It was a lot of money and like I might as well have set fire to my £200. I'm very angry and will not be buying anything else from Ubisoft, be it games, collectors editions or any other merchandise. If I don't get a resolution from Game, I'll be reporting both companies to trading standards. I never let a company rip me off more than once.
