I had an account for about 10 days before it was suddenly shut down for “suspicious activity” (i literally only used it to pay friends and split ubers, but okay)Never seen an app where using it how its intended gets your account shut down. They refuse to tell you the specific reason, just that their extremely flawed “security system” detected unusual activity. Tried to withdraw what was left and kept getting blocked. Of course venmo support only replies via email (the chat agents are helpless and can’t do anything, don’t know why they are even there) and it takes days for them to reply. Took 2 weeks just to get my remaining balance back.I wouldn’t trust my money with them. They need to cut the crap with this automated security system that clearly does an awful job and just bans people for using the app normally.
