New Customers Beware: Misleading Information and No Way Out

I’m new to Germany, so I wasn’t aware of certain sales tactics. In the Vodafone office, they assured me that fiber optic internet was available at my address and recommended I sign the contract in person. After signing, I discovered that fiber optic service wouldn’t actually be available in my building for another 8 months. When I tried to cancel my contract due to this misleading information, they refused, stating that because I signed in person, I couldn’t cancel. They offered no alternative solution, leaving me to pay high daily fees for internet. Be cautious with Vodafone’s sales team in Germany—they’ll say anything to convince you to sign up.
