Booked a villa and paid £2500 deposit in May 24 for 2 weeks to start this July 25. Told yesterday that the booking was cancelled due to an error and that the villa was booked out for the whole July and August. So now looking for another villa and found that the villa we booked is now back on VRBO but for more money. So the reason given was not true. Can they do this, is it legal did we not have a binding contract when we paid the deposit. Totally unethical at the very least. I look forward to VRBOs reply.
