Vrbo supports abusive landlords putting holiday at risk. We rented a 4 bedroom house in an upscale area in S California for many £000s. Within one day the Wifi did not work and we notified the owner it needed to be fixed. They promptly accused us of breaking it on purpose to disable their cameras. We did get it working (enabling their cameras) and they started calling at 6am the next morning as our daughter had arrived from the airport at 1am (quietly) and made up our sixth member in a 7 bedroom house. The landlord let us know we were now evicted as we had too many people (not true) and violated curfew rules (non existent). The landlord continued to send abusive texts during the term. We left the house in perfect condition and wrote a fair but negative review. It was promptly taken down by Vrbo but the negative review the landlord wrote (90% of which was false) about us was allowed to stand. The landlord has continued to text us with abuse about the review...Vrbo has done nothing...we will never rent with them again as we will not risk eviction and/or abusive landlords again (btw she was kicked off of AirB&B, we know why now).
