Absolutely unacceptable delivery experience — avoid at all costs.If I could give zero stars, I would. I ordered a large item on Wayfair, and the delivery experience has been nothing short of appalling.From the start, the delivery team was completely unprepared, despite being fully informed ahead of time that the item was heavy, required navigating a flight of stairs, and needed protective shoe covers to avoid damaging our carpets and floors. The first team (2 people) showed up and immediately said they couldn’t do the job—it was too heavy and they needed a third person. Fine. We rescheduled for June 3rd. Then the delivery company unilaterally rescheduled to June 6th.And what happens? Same disaster all over again.A two-person team shows up again, without any of the required equipment or preparation. No booties for their shoes. When we offered them our own to protect our floors, they refused. They had no workaround, no solution—just stood there shrugging, completely unwilling to engage constructively.When we asked them to take the item back since they were unable or unwilling to deliver it properly, they refused to leave the property. They became belligerent, rude, and threatening, escalating the situation to the point that we had to inform them we were calling the police before they finally left.Wayfair’s delivery coordination has been an absolute failure from beginning to end. This kind of behavior is not just unprofessional—it’s unacceptable. If you care about your home, safety, or sanity, think twice before ordering anything large or requiring in-home delivery from Wayfair.
