I launched my website in 2007 and it never occurred to me that I would need so much security for a site dedicated to baseball history. There's no reason for anyone to hack it because there's no personal data contained within--we post articles and have two databases full of statistics--but hackers still wreak havoc. Thanks to Wordfence I breathe easier and know I and my site are in good hands. I recently had someone hack into my site through a contributor's account and post several ridiculous articles that had nothing to do with baseball. A scan also showed my site had been infected with malware, but Janet at Wordfence found and deleted it. As long as I have Wordfence monitoring my website I know it's protected or will be cleaned quickly and efficiently if someone sneaks through.
