Bad service from A to Z

It seems they have a great brand image, but everything is just pure marketing. The airport service in Cyprus was shameful, with rude staff. I wasn’t raising my voice or angry; I was simply trying to understand why they needed to take my physical credit card when it had already been approved by their machine. They wrote down all the card numbers on paper. I told them that was not legal and not secure, especially since the card had already been successfully charged. They couldn’t control themselves. I even asked to call the police to review the cameras, but the employee walked away and stopped responding to me.The food on the plane was poor, and we had to wait a long time upon arrival in Dubai. We were left on a bus for 40 minutes without air conditioning (this is Dubai!). When I reached out to customer service, their response was that they were doing a good job. Don’t waste your money on a service like this. It's better to buy a low-cost flight, as you won’t expect good treatment anyway.

Claude is now for coders

As a writer and an English teacher, I've watched Claude lose what made it great: being a tool for a wide array of people. Now, Anthropic over the past year has altered it consistently for those who want to use Claude to write code. While I don't know how effective it is at generating code, I do know that where he once could explain ancient languages to me (with my attesting the words and grammar), it struggles with even remembering the language was something it once knew, or that it has any learned knowledge of its structure. I don't mind it not advancing in some areas; you can't expect constant improvements. I just wish they didn't nerf everything else to help ease the load of coding for customers. I'm just really saddened by this. It was once a great tool.

I have one installed in my London flat and one installed in my small country get away. Both were installed by different plumbers. It is complicated to use. The scheduler doesn't work. You have to switch everything on manually. I really regret buying them. Please do not buy them. This is an honest review - they are terrible.

Review of ESPN

Won't honor promotional pricing and always duplicate charging on the Annual Plan

Sorry, very long review, but the bottom line is Don't pay for ESPN+. Their billing system has bugs and it takes months to resolve billing issues. The company seems like they're turning into a very dishonest company that doesn't want to do the fair thing for their customers.Unfortunately I signed up for an annual ESPN+ subscription in August of 2019. After a month I noticed that they had charged me twice for the annual plan. I called the customer service, and they were very nice and said they would refund me one of the charges. A couple months went by, and no refund. I had to call back multiple times and spend hours on the phone, and around December they finally refunded me. When they refunded me the duplicate charge, somehow my access to ESPN+ was discontinued. Again, hours on the phone with customer service, and they said they would just refund me a pro-rated portion of the initial charge also, because the refunding of the duplicate charge turned off my service, and they couldn't figure out how to turn it on. They suggested if I wanted ESPN+, that I should switch to month-to-month service. So, at this point I didn't have an ESPN+ subscription which was fine with me.A month ago on September 2020, I received an email from ESPN+ that 'they wanted me back' and were offering 20% discount on their annual plan to join (39.99/yr as opposed to 49.99/yr). Stupidly, I joined again. The first charge went through in September for 39.99 and things seemed good. But then I noticed I was again charged by ESPN+ in October, for the the full price 49.99. So double charged again.Again spent hours on the phone with customer service, and they're unwilling to refund me the 49.99, and honor the 39.99 price. They say they can only refund me the 39.99, and that the 49.99 was an auto-renew from last year, and that I would have to pay the 49.99.My plan was cancelled last year so it should not have auto-renewed, and on their website it says if you cancel your plan you also cancel the auto renewal. That's pretty standard for all subscriptions. For some reason the supervisor couldn't or wouldn't understand that concept that I shouldn't be auto-renewed if my original plan was cancelled. Their billing system definitely has a bug that they're unwilling to acknowledge.Granted it's only a difference of $10, but the company seems to be turning into a very dishonest company and basically cheating their customers. They are refusing to do the the fair thing for me, and just honor the 39.99 promo price they sent to me through email.This can probably happen to you as well if you sign-up, so just stay away. Don't give your money to ESPN as they will probably cheat you too. Support companies that treat their customers fairly.

Misleading subscription policy

Really angry that I firmly believed I’d cancelled this subscription through the app and the payment was still being debited from my account. I hadn’t been impressed with the blind version of the paper and had ‘cancelled’ soon after it so I thought. Stop misleading people and make it clear how to cancel the subscription!

Domain.com charged me for a domain that I did not request. I got online with them the following day and they immediately provided me with a refund.Took less than 10 minutes. I still have a different domain name with this folks and I plan on staying with them in the future.

I've had an unsavoury experience with a Crypto company 12/20 01/21, reported to Binance, Metamask, both blocked my accounts in January'21, on 17/08/23 a scammer who's details I have claiming to represent a European Banking watchdog opened a fake crypto wallet with an organisation (all funds on it were legit). Got info from me and proceeded to cash out all of my funds from my "blocked" Binance account. I've requested my account be reactivated on 22/08 so I can report and supply info as to who the scammer may be and have my funds recovered, unfortunately I was notified it takes 48hrs which may be too late for Binance to actI have to log into my account in order to lodge the complaint If Binance could shorten their waiting period for reinstatement in the case of fraud it would be greatThank you for the reply, unfortunately my email login now comes up as invalidI can be contacted at 0842470423 (ZA)

They take preauthorisations monies immediately for book but then email to tell you books cancelled you email them after 2 weeks as no sight of your money back they are quite rude toward your enquiry I send another email to them I need my money returned no return email . Eventually they return my money as they don’t have the book I would never ever consider using such a company again if you can call them suchBad bad experience.
