Continuation of "In today's customer friendly world below...

So, this is getting really exciting. The Economist Communications Director Holly Donahue completely ignores my polite emails where I just ask for some feedback. Meanwhile, I have found out the subscriptions are handled by a third party, AIr Business Subscription, headed by the MD Stuart Lacey. He claims that their "...aim is to grow and retain your customer base using our sophisticated ‘web-first’ platform to expertly manage subscriptions and fulfilment..". So, it's really the company "Air Business" that are running this highly un-ethical scheme towards their customers...wondering if some of their clients, e.g. The Economist, The Guardian and The Time, are aware of their methods? They might find out shortly...

Review of dropbox

Dropbox rip off

Dropbox has somehow decided to include 'My Mac' which effectively has taken up all the allowed space.I cannot delete 'My Mac' from dropbox and the only conclusion is that Drop box is trying to force me to take out a more expensive plan.Since it is impossible to contact dropbox I would advice anyone reading this NOT to use dropbox.

Stick to Coinbase or Binance

I’m pro crypto but this is the worst app out there. Unable to send to other wallets without using highest charging chains. Massive fees for selling crypto in the platform. Withdrawals taking days, Stick with Coinbase and Binance even if your from uk like me your better off transferring from somewhere like Coinbase to Binance and will still save on fees and have yours withdrawals and deposits instantly.

Review of apple

Customer service at its worst

Had a problem with an app which I made a purchase but did receive it but Apple took the money out of my account. Went to the game developer Customer support which said because I made the purchase on an Apple device I needed to request the refund from ITunes. So I made the request told them what had happened had to wait 24hrs for a response. They replied saying it was eligible for a refund made a complaint saying I didn’t receive my purchase sent them a screenshot of the purchase. Apple support contacted me to contact the developer which I have already did then told me to phone Apple support to request a refund which I did then they turned round and said there was nothing they could do because they have already turned down my request of a refund. Then they past me on to another department which I had to start the whole process again which she ask me for proof I had contacted the developer, told them it was on their support page then ask me for a screenshot which I turned round and told the lady I had been on the phone for 30 mins the first 10mins I was cut off which is very frustrating and still not got anywhere in sorting out my complaint. I emailed them all the information they needed only for them to turn round and ask me to phone the support team. As a company is alright but when it comes to customer service they need a lot of working

Review of vrbo

VRBO is nothing but trash company

VRBO is nothing but a trash company, unwilling to help a customer. I booked a week of a rental with VRBO in Dayton OH. Upon arrival found the rental to be very unsafe and full of mice. The owner of the property was willing to refund us for all but the night we stayed, as we needed to find another rental. VRBO however charged us the entire service fee for the whole stay and was unwilling to refund any of it. They took no responsibility for the booking they sold and they wouldn’t let us speak to a supervisor. NEVER USE VRBO!! The company is trash with no customer service.

I’d honestly give zero stars if…

I’d honestly give zero stars if possible. We’ve had the most awful experience ever with VRBO!! We’ve been super hosts for over 5 years, had over a hundred positive reviews, and they just cancelled all of our listings without warning for no valid reason. We’ve spent over 20 hours solid on the phone getting hung up on, dropped calls, transferred, and every time being told they couldn’t help us. There’s one person in there entire company who can make decisions on our account and not once has he ever emailed us back or called after 10 emails on our end and 8 phone calls. They say his department doesn’t have phones 🤔 and that he has no supervisor to talk to. I’ve asked if he’s a real person and not a bot and their only answer is that “he’s part of our team”!! It turns out there reasoning for cancelling our listings is because the mother of one of our already booked renters messaged us asking for room/bed layout and we used the words “contact” and “email” after she asked if her daughter could contact us with any more questions in regards to their upcoming travels. Her daughter originally booked me as her wedding photographer (that is my full time profession) and I recommended they also book our rental for her family. Naturally she already has my number and my email to communicate about her wedding. It appears that VRBO has ai generated tag words that if you use them in messaging you will get your listings disabled. I went to the extent of providing them the following documents to prove our case and they will not reinstate our listings at all and will not let us talk with anyone who can actually help us. I provided them…1. An original email inquiry for wedding photography from nearly a year ago. 2. A copy of my photography contract with her. 3. A copy of my photo business questionnaire where it lists the woman who messaged us on vrbo as her mother 4. A copy of their booking of the property nearly a year prior to her mom messaging us about room/bed layout5. A copy of their receipt of down payment for lodging and photo booking from nearly a year prior to her message. 6. And letters from both my bride and her mother stating they had no idea that having the mother of the bride message us on vrbo would be an issue and get us flagged for removal. Vrbo refuses to look at any of it, refuses to let us talk to Leon who apparently is the only person on earth who can make a decision on our account, and refuses to even acknowledge that they are not providing us any customer service help even though we’ve supported their business financially and been super hosts for over 5 years. They are truly the worst worst platform for hosts. Zero support, zero customer service, and zero professionalism. We’ve had nothing but a very positive experience on Airbnb and booking.com. Every time we have a question they are so helpful. Save yourself the time and headache and steer clear of vrbo. In our research they have numerous current lawsuits, fail to payout hosts, we’re recently under investigation with BBB, and are in financial trouble from poor management. Updated as a response to VRBO....As of 4/21/25 there has been no email response from the team responsible for our account with Leon being the team leader for our account. His original email to us was 02/27/25 of which we responded that same day with questions. He has not responded once to us in nearly 2 months. Customer support tells us to communicate with him about our case and he refuses to respond even once and refuses to provide us customer service.

Sign up to SurveyMonkey and experience interface design from before the millennium. I am stuck trying to create surveys using an interface designed around 1996, which produces ugly surveys using ugly fonts. Everything is buried under multiple levels of clicks in one of the most unintuitive and poorly documents interfaces you will ever face.The worse thing is, the surveys you produce look like utter garbage! Meaning potential survey respondents do not answer your surveys. Company that has well and truly cashed in their VC finance and dropped any pretence of providing a product of any quality. I'm guessing the founders have cashed in and left the building and what we are seeing / experiencing is the dead hand of VCs attempting to squeeze as much cash out of the business and their customers as they can.I don't believe SurveyMonkey is long for this world... And, to be honest, good riddance to them!!

Do not trust making a purchase on this site. Chances are you will not receive the item you ordered and when contacting customer service they will tell you that they do not stand behind anything that is advertised on their site. I could NOT believe it. I was ripped off and did not even get an apology.

Disgrace of a company

I also sent two parcels back both signed for on the 24th June . One was refunded the 1st July the second on the 3rd July.Or at least I received emails saying they had been .No refund is on account yet . I returned on the same day parcels to hobby craft and DP , the money was back from both of them two weeks ago. I’m not even confident I will get it this far down the line .
