Review of avast

20 years

During many years Avast has protected my computers and telephone with adequate efficiency. It is a pity that they don't have a free Driver updater to speed up my computers.

Suspended for adult content without selling any

Despite my initial good experience and getting assistance in figuring out what types of content are and aren't allowed so I could be sure to comply, my page just got suspended "due to concerns regarding adult content".For the record, I was selling 3 short stories (1 horror, 2 dreampunk) in my store and none of those had any sexual content, not even implied or fade-to-black.So ehm yeah, this suspension truly came as a complete surprise. So I don't even know what BMK can do to improve, because apparently getting assistance about the content guidelines, following all that was said, and then still getting suspended? 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️*Updated after receiving the following reply:"According to the guidelines of both our platform and our partners, we are unable to support adult-themed content, including specific genres of literature. This applies to all content regardless of whether it is directly uploaded on our platform or forms part of your broader online presence."So while I was initially told I could not *sell* my novel containing sex scenes but promoting it was fine (and I indeed did not sell it on BMC) just the fact that I have such a book available elsewhere is what got me banned. So unless you use a different penname for your works that have sexual content (apparently doesn't even have to be erotica) I would suggest to stay FAR AWAY from BMC, because getting banned for (legal) content that isn't even on their platform is some next level dystopian censorship.Update #2:Been told their terms changed recently. Turns out, yes, they have, just over a week ago (so after I joined). They did not inform people of this change."Scope of Guidelines[...] Links or references to Buy Me a Coffee from other web pages or profiles containing prohibited content and vice-versa are also subject to these guidelines."

Review of asus

the laptop is completely mess hole

the laptop is completely mess hole. The design is so weak that I can even bend my screen with bare hand. The GPU is in very low quality it keeps giving my screen flickers and freeze. Not mentioning worse power consumption and worse body quality I've ever seen in laptop product

Make sure you won’t have to return anything!!!

Never order from here and if you do make sure you won’t have to return anything! It has taken them 26 days to process my return and after I contacted customer service they said it’d take between 13-15 days. Another 2 weeks go by and finally. Now I have to wait another 1-3 days for it to refund my card. Absolutely terrible, have never had a return take more than a week or two anywhere else.

Review of nfl

Worst ever call that the referees can…

Worst ever call that the referees can make when Stafford was getting sacked head down in and SAID he was trying to throw it fumbles the ball. Refers call touchdown on field then decide to discuss the play… should have been a minimum intensional grounding but instead they said Stafford was right and he was trying to throw it to his receiver with his head buried in the gound for a sack but the referees have always disliked the Vikings oh that’s right last game they missed a face mask cause they didn’t see it…. Ready to give up on NFL and the referees….. they suck

Review of facebook

Meta Took My Money, Then Blocked My Business

As a small business owner, I used Facebook to promote my page through paid ads. What I didn’t expect was that my entire business operation could be shut down over how my personal profile looks – even though it’s a business page I’m running.Meta (Facebook) links everything to your personal account. If their automated system thinks your profile isn’t “real enough” (not enough photos, not enough videos, too many or too few posts), it can flag your entire setup. That includes your business page, ad account, and payment access. No real explanation, no proper appeal system, just an automated shutdown. To make matters worse, a large chunk of the engagement from my paid ads seemed to be fake profiles, bots, or phishing attempts. So even while I was being charged for “clicks” and “views,” there was very little legitimate traction. You can’t filter it. You can’t get a refund. And you can’t speak to a real person. If my account gets closed, fine — keep the ad money, because frankly, most of it went to bots and bad traffic anyway. But don’t pretend it’s a fair platform for small businesses. If you rely on Facebook to grow your business, you’re at risk of losing everything without warning — just because your personal profile doesn’t meet their invisible trust metrics.Avoid putting all your eggs in Facebook’s basket. The platform is unstable, unaccountable, and not small-business friendly anymore.

Review of Shopify

Not a Good Look, Folks!

I'm not a shop owner; however, in trying to resolve an issue with one of the shops under Shopify's "umbrella", I was unable to reach a live person and, upon emailing their CS Dept. for assistance, they would not assign a case number. All that this entity did was re-direct me to their "Help Center", which was no help at all because you have to sign up on their site as a shop owner. Again, I'm the victim of one of their customers ... a small business. The problem is, the shop in question is refusing to close my customer account properly and put the blame on their "host", which is Shopify. Every day that my account remains open is a security risk to me, which is why I needed assistance from Shopify since the shop in question has shirked their responsibility. I would think Shopify would be interested in getting to the bottom of the matter vs. making it impossible to reach anyone within their "walls". It makes their entire set-up look "suspect" and not quite on the "up-and-up"! Is that the image they're going for? It sure seems to be the case here because an honest enterprise would be a lot easier to communicate with vs. blocking every move a person makes in trying to reach them ... "not a good look, folks!"

Review of paypal

Paypal favoring frauds and scammers

UPDATE:RESEARCH LOCAL, STATE AND FEDERAL LAWS. I put the so called seller, that received money for the fake acct. they filed with Paypal, on written notice to provide a full refund by a date certain or I would be filing for a criminal investigation in their jurisdiction and federally. After all the back and forth, I'd had enough. Within two (2) minutes, I received multiple emails from them stating they had dropped the claim and a refund was forthcoming. Less than five minutes later, Paypal closed the case in my favor and provided the notice for the refund. When something isn't just a dispute, but rather a theft using electronic communications, there are laws against it. Don't stop with just a dispute. I reported a fraud just a few months ago that I even reported to the FTC and Paypal found in favor of the seller, fully knowing it. Now, I have an unauthorized transaction where some company set up an account and took out money from my account. Paypal stopped future payments but found in favor of the "seller" again, even after I showed proof there is no acct. Had it not shown up on my credit card that a charge was pending, I would never have known what was going on because there's certainly no account. Yet, Paypal has now found in the "seller's" favor twice, even with the proof. Now, after promising but not reopening the case, I kept after them because I've no doubt this place has to be scamming a lot of people. So the case is back in review, but I have serious doubts about Paypal's decision making. Personally, I have some outstanding transactions that have to go through Paypal. As soon as they're done, I'll be canceling Paypal. After more than 18 yrs with them, I do not trust them with my information, money or anything else.
