Complaint Against Shopify: Account Locked, Payment Suspension, and Lack of SupportNature of Complaint: Unjustified Account Lock, Payment Gateway Suspension, and Lack of Resolution from ShopifyDescription of the Problem:I am filing this complaint against Shopify due to the unjustified locking of my account, suspension of payments through Shopify Balance, and ongoing lack of resolution despite my numerous attempts to resolve these issues.My account has been locked for nearly two months without any clear explanation from Shopify. I have not made a sale in over a year, but when I recently tried to use the platform to chat with support and initiate an investigation, Shopify responded by suspending my Balance payment the next day. This suspension directly affected my ability to use Shopify’s Balance card, which serves as the gateway payment system essential for processing transactions.After the suspension of the Balance card, I managed to start making sales again. However, Shopify soon locked my account for reasons that remain unknown. I promptly reported this issue, and Shopify informed me that they were investigating the matter. Despite repeated follow-ups, I have not received any clear answers or solutions. The only response I get is that the issue is still under investigation.During this period, Shopify has continued to charge me monthly fees, despite the fact that my account remains locked and I am unable to fully operate my business. To make matters worse, I recently had a customer make a purchase, but Shopify has blocked me from contacting the customer or sending them a label for their purchase, further damaging my business reputation and customer relations.Attempts to Resolve:I have reached out multiple times through Shopify’s support channels, including chat and email, to seek assistance and understand why my account was locked and payments were suspended. Unfortunately, Shopify has not provided any substantive response or timeline for resolving these critical issues.Impact on My Business:This situation has severely disrupted my business operations. The account lock has not only prevented me from managing my sales and payments effectively but has also left me unable to communicate with customers, fulfill orders, and maintain my business’s credibility. Additionally, the continued billing for services I cannot use feels unjust and has put unnecessary financial strain on me.Desired Resolution:I am seeking the following resolutions:Immediate unlocking of my Shopify account and restoration of all account functionalities.A clear and detailed explanation of why my account was locked and payments were suspended.Reinstatement of the ability to contact customers and process their orders without further delay.A refund of the monthly charges incurred while my account was unjustifiably locked.Assurance from Shopify that appropriate measures will be put in place to prevent such issues from occurring again in the future.Supporting Documents:I am willing to provide any supporting documents, including screenshots of the account status, communications with Shopify Support, and any other relevant evidence upon request.

Warning to all who sell on depop…Although depop offer seller protection it is completely useless. I sold an expensive coat on depop, buyer paid via depop pay. He then received the evri delivery disputing that the item had been switched by the courier to a worthless jacket saying the packaging had been clearly opened and repackaged. I have a photo from the courier Evri showing them handing over the parcel complete intact exactly how I packaged it. He raised a depop dispute and despite me providing depop with all the evidence of the photos of the delivery, my receipts and pictures of the jacket before I posted it they decided to refund the scamming buyer. They asked me to provide my address to the buyer so he could return the worthless jacket so he would have also had my home address!!! Only when I threatened police involvement did he finally admit he had the jacket he bought from me, claiming a neighbour had stolen it, even although the item was delivered to his door!!! He has begged me not to go to the police and closed the dispute. Depop have not helped whatsoever and sided with the buyer! Even after all this the buyer has not been banned. Please be very careful with depop, the seller protection is completely misleading and you are left exposed. I am shocked how easy they make it for people to be scammed, beyond belief and say they have you covered when they don’t!!!!

Ordered some boots in the sale 4 weeks before Christmas. Despite receiving an email saying they were slightly delayed but on their way, never received them. Customer service confirmed they’d been lost but could only refund as now out of stock - wouldn’t honour the price with a different pair that were in stock. Useless service, first time using and will never do so again.

Unbelievably poor service level. Ordered 3 babygrows on line. Only 2 arrived. Returned order over 2 weeks ago (no longer permitted to return goods purchased on line in stores as from December 2nd) but still no refund received. Impossible to speak to anyone about it and all email contact is ignored. Do not touch Uniqlo on-line until the service is dramatically improved. Why should Uniqlo be allowed to retain a consumers money against a product that does not meet requirements. Disgraceful.

After supporting my payment to a fraudulent company, Google pay says it can’t be verified??? Therefore not supporting me with a refund!THEY HAVE THE RECEIPT OF PAYMENT! You can not get a response from smokersunit, I’m sure they’ve tried.. I used Google Pay vs Bit coin or other available payment options because I trusted Google to vet the companies they pay to! I was WRONG! Now... no response? They send you around in circles trying to contact them! I would NEVER RECOMMEND, nor use them again!Again.... another company who doesn’t care if their customers get scammed!!

Ms. Stroud, IORS agent #1004366044, provided polite, professional assistance which should be recognized. Ms. Stroud took my call and because of the questions involved, had to review my tax records, which expectedly took time. Ms. Stroud would periodically come back on line to let me know she was still reviewing the documents and hadn't forgotten me. Now days, so many who put you on a phone hold fail to let you know they are still working the issue so you know they haven't died. Thank you Ms. Stroud for your professionalism.
