Have been an Amex customer for 43 years, through good and bad times. After my 2 hour multiple person experience this morning, it is clear to me what the reviews I'm reading have been saying, it's time to move on. I will be ending this relationship this year. I am totally tired of their website not recognizing me. They keep telling me it takes time and guess what we are all living on borrowed time. They don't recognize me on their website...after 43 years! And not one person at Amex can tell me why. I can explain it in one word(?) AI. This will be the end of business in this country. When I was in school they repeatedly told me that looking for a shortcut as a means to an end was a fool's errand. Good luck Amex with your AI from one customer who has brought you thousands of dollars in business, and you may miss when I am gone. Also, one other thing, when you have called and spent hours with multiple agents, having someone say calm down DOES not reduce the frustration, it exacerbates it, making things worse and steeling resolve.
