Mobile service works, support chat is actually a marketing function, not support

The mobile service works well. The issue I have is with customer support. It's really not possible to get it as the chat support is actually a marketing functionThe problem is customer service, and ATT is joining the chorus of companies that can not provide help in difficult settings.I've had my account for decades, for many years, I've had an email come once a month with my charges as a reminder I need to charge family members. 2 months ago, they just stopped coming. I can go online to my account settings and see it REMAINS set that wayWhen I tried to use chat, the insufferable AI chatbot took very specific, simple problem text and basically said "Oh, you want to set email bills!"... NOAfter typing 'TALK TO A PERON" 4 or 5 times, it put me in the queue. The person on the other end of the chat said let me review your description of the problem... and proceeded to follow where the chatbot was going... again I had to answer "NO", and re-state the problem.Then, they asked if they could market to me during the call,, and another "NO, I don't want to be marketed to, help me get my bill emailed"Then asked me to confirm my physical street address. Hmmm ok. Then said "While I work on your problem....".. then three posts about buying high speed internet at my home, ending with a question as to what date I wanted to schedule to have it installedI ended the chat. ATT gets 3 starts because like a number of businesses customer support model: If everything works as planned, you're fine,, if not, you're screwed and have to work around
