The site is a waste of time and money. They closed my account without speaking to me and emailed me indicating I used their site to recruit employees! This is not true at all. Customer service is a joke. As a professional that works with seniors I will gladly spread the word to colleagues to not waste time and money with this site. Aside from this, I was able to help a household interview 2 amazing caregivers and the family hired them. The family had nothing but positive reviews for those 2 ladies. The other caregivers from the site were no shows with families, lied about availability, or were unprofessional. I have encouraged adult children and spouses of seniors to check out the site as well as helped those that are not computer savvy hire caregivers from the site. I work in a role where people are seeking help and guidance. I have never hired anyone from care.com for my company nor paid a caregiver. Never again will I refer anyone to this site as a resource for seniors. The senior community deserves better than investing in this site. I have since found another resource and have a call scheduled to ensure they are truly in the business of helping others vs taking payments, poor communication, and having a site consisting of individuals that over promise and under deliver. To actually be able to schedule a call to talk about the needs of seniors is already a plus in my book.
