Great journalism but disgusting sales tactics when subscribing online. I have just spent half an hour justifying my decision to want to cancel and not auto renew my subscription. This is my decision, why can’t I do it simply online. This whole experience has cheapened what I thought the economist stood for, absolutely disgraceful marketing and sales tactics. Definitely has left a bitter taste in in my mouth, like it would appear has for many others. I suggest you have a good think before you alienate even more of your customer base. I expected better.
