I have had exactly the same experience as "Danny P" from the U.S. I can't believe a company the size of yahoo are functioning in this way, there's just no words to explain how unbelievably annoying they are & whether it's always been this way remains to be discovered. I'm writing a review on here in the hope they have one of their dumb ass geeks monitoring reviews & replying to them , but basically about 4 months ago,i had a new contract phone & some of the apps didn't swap from the old phone, so I continued using my old one, but that was taking forever to load, & in frustration I hit the phone off something & broke the screen beyond visibility, but I didn't worry as I had a new phone , but it won't let me have , no matter how hard I try , my main email address I've had for about 20 years, & the verification system they are putting in place for security is completely working against what it's meant to be achieving, for a start ,it keeps saying passwords wrong , even though it's registered as the saved one in my security segment , I Try to enter it once & it just shuts down the log in process saying I've made too many attempts & to try In a few hours . Because its a smart phone I hold on to the hope it's going to learn itself & get to where I need too, but just keeps putting up more unhelpful shi'ite, for example it will "accept "password ( basically sometimes it doesn't shut down) & I think I'm getting there , but then it will say press on yahoo account key & press the green tick & I'm away- never gives me the account key , no matter how much I press on it or follow the advice , just doesn't do anything. OR it tells me to log into any yahoo app &using the verification boxes, regurge the number it tells you to use & I log into a yahoo app & none of the info it says should happen , happens.The main verification system, providing it does accept a password or the first part of the 2 part verification process, is usually a txt to your phone , the 2nd part is a code to your email address & that's the whole point, I can't get into my friggin email , are they stupid or what? They given me a Gmail account, but what's the point if no-one knows it . I'm trying to remain calm but it always pisses me off, everythime I try to fix it & think I'm getting somewhere but just always fails , just makes me so angry, because my common email address is quite important to me now & alot of important information/data /apps where signing in goes through my email is all going unread /un-noticed or causing massive inconvenience to me because I can't verify my email , I'm trying everything I can, to link it with the Gmail address its now given me, delete all apps that go through Google & start afresh , going to local library to see if I can get into my email that way ,but its just doing the same crap, I've even gone to my phone /contract providers nearest, superstore / tech department, & they just seemed to be not much help , but it did come as some constellation when one of the people working there did tell me that apparently this a thing with yahoo, but if is it hasn't been happening for long , because I've had the same Email for years & never had this much crap to get my new phones working normal, an absolute nightmare. It doesn't help that there's not a contact or help center (not what actually provides assistance ) for yahoo's UK customers, so sometimes you have to show these asses for what they are to get some help . I read someone is up for suing them for being incompetent bags of crud & if there's anyway of being able to communicate with people who've have been similarly messed around by these tossers , I'd certainly be in for that , the more the merrier & the bigger the punch , the better the fight & the harder they will fall .yahoo need bringing to account
