My experience with Google Fi has been outrageous. I decided to join because I often travel internationally and had heard that the service abroad is great/reliable. Before joining, I called Google Fi to ask a number of questions about compatibility with my iphone 11 pro and how long the change of service would take. The representative told me generally the change takes under 15 minutes, is smooth and that Google Fi would work perfectly on my phone. Unfortunately, when I switched to Google Fi, NONE of this was the case -- I was no longer able to receive or make simple phone calls, receive or send text messages, or use the internet -- absolutely nothing about my phone worked except for Whatsapp. I called their customer service who only made my situation worse problem solving in ways that eventually made me totally loose the little connection I had before. They said they would escalate my issue to their top tier technical support but I NEVER heard from anyone in over 24 hours. I decided to switch back to T-MOBILE and even that process was total misery because I needed a generated PIN from google fi to do this and they claimed to only be able to text message this (I COULDN'T GET TEXTS OR CALLS... so what then?) FINALLY, this was resolved after about 30 minutes on the phone. I am so happy I am back to T-MOBILE --- it was a great relief to deal with people in person who could help me have a working phone again. GOOGLE FI should be ASHAMED of themselves -- they highjacked my phone service and took absolutely no responsibility for fixing what they created. They should not LIE and DECEIVE interested customers into believing their service works on all phones. Its simply not true.
