Purchased a HP All in one refurbished machine, from HP online Australia. The machine arrived but could never be turned on. Took a long time to get to a real person on the phone. But it took a bad online feedback via their link before someone tried to contact me via email a week later. I could not find the serial number on the machine when asked, then one agent told me to look for it on the original packaging box. I assumed this was to confirm that the serial number was same as that recorded on the tax invoice. I looked on the packaging and assumed this was the correct serial number. Then the machine was picked up for return to the warehouse before refund was issued. Alas I was subsequently advised, by email, that the serial number on the machine did not match that of the detail I took from the packaging. So they accused me of sending the wrong machine back. A long time was spent emailing back and forth trying to convince them that I had no intention wasting my time tricking them by sending back the wrong machine, and was wondering if I found the wrong serial number before sending it back would they have accepted it or they would still accuse me of trying to send the wrong machine back. The whole thing got dragged out for 1 month with email messages from HP reassuring me that they were looking into the problem, before the last email I received today, 28/04/2025 saying they were still wanting the correct machine back, just past 30 days from HP's invitation for review. I was so frustrated and went to their invitation link received on 28/03/2025 intending to leave a negative review. But surprise surprise...a message appeared something along the line "error, submission cannot be done more than 30 days from first submission" when I clicked "submit". Out of desperation I searched online and found this forum and was duly shocked to see all the bad reviews from the UK. Looks like HP's business model is the same worldwide. They are unashamedly deceitful and unaccountable in the way they deal with customer!
