Deep Sigh! 😩 Where do I begin? 🤷🏾♀️ Let me start off by saying that I've always loved HP. We go back many, many years. I've had a couple of HP desktop computers, and a couple of HP printers over the years. My old desktop broke down years ago. I have my current one now. I don't use it because I truly loved my old one better. My other HP printer is my storage unit. It works just fine. I just didn't want to go through the storage unit to find it. I bought my current HP printer years ago. It's fine. I like it better than the one in storage, actually. For the last 2 days, I couldn't get my printer to print. In fact, it was giving me an error message. Printer unavailable. Printer failure. I've tried absolutely everything. I finally called HP. Asked for Tech Support.Foreigner. Outside of the USA. I thought we had a language barrier, but it was alright. I kept going. He looked me up and found me in the system. He immediately said that I'm out of warranty by over 2,000 days. 👀 I said, I'm not calling about a warranty. That warranty been expired many years ago. I explained my issue and we went from there. He was trying his best to help. When he couldn't get it to work, he stated that I need to get a new printer. Its not working because it's out of warranty. I told him that I'm old school. I'm 56 years old. I don't believe in buying stuff because it's old and/or out of warranty. This printer works just fine - well, until a couple of days ago. Is there anything else we can do? He said, no. Your printer won't work because it's out of warranty. Please buy another printer. I couldn't believe my ears! Is this something new that y'all are doing to people? Making things not work after a certain amount of time? I don't get it. That's crazy! He said, please by a new printer. You'll get a new warranty with that. Mind you, I have a great All-In-One Ink Jet Printer. Fax and all. Well, we hung up and I continued to play around with the printer. Via the printer itself and via the HP Smart app. Guess what? It's printing!!! 🙌🏾I called HP back. I asked for a supervisor. Foreigner, again. I asked are all calls outsourced? Just like everything else nowadays, I guess. That's so unfortunate. You call an American number and get another country! 🤦🏿♀️ Anyway, he said that there's no way to speak to someone in the USA, sorry. A supervisor came to the phone. He immediately said, are you calling about your obsolete printer from earlier? I said, yes! The obsolete printer that needed to be thrown away and get a new one. Yes.He said, well it's out of warranty and that's why it's not working. I told him, I'm calling to let you know to never tell people that. What kind of tech support is this? I got my printer to work. It's working just fine now. He said, it's out warranty and we can't fix it. I hung up. 1 star for this mess.
