Diego's Domain Dilemma: A Hilarious Misadventure in Customer Support

Have been on a paid plan with them for years and pretty content with the service until notified that need to authenticate our domain because ..."is critical to the delivery of your campaigns". Happily complied and were given specific instructions to modify our DKIM and SPF records for our DNS and then patiently allowed 48 hrs for the new DNS settings to become active (before weekend). Hell broke on Monday upon return to office as it turns out all our e-mail communication has stalled because of.....eronate DKIM and SPF. With hundreds of unanswered e-mails and looming prospect of another 48 hrs off-line e-mailing we turned to "friendly" mailerlite team for something they call "support ".In no time a live (really) agent Diego responded in chat and naturally asked for a screenshot of our DNS records for a quick check, which we happily obliged. 15 min later, Diego replies with ..."Could you please provide us with screenshots of all the records configured in your DNS zone?" Assuming Diego is on several lines at the time, we repeat our response and 15-20 min later, Diego comes with "Have you checked the DNS records?" Baffled at this, we asked Diego "are you a real person or chatboot?" to which he replied instantly: "Don't worry, I'm not a bot, to check for duplicate records or errors I need you to provide me with screenshots". - "Do you see our messages? or is this a joke?" we asked and 30 min later Diego replies "Please confirm me which is your service provider" and then 1hrs later "I'm sorry if it sounds like a joke to you, but it's not, it's just necessary information to investigate further technically, the records are configured correctly, I recommend you check it with your service provider"Needless to point, there is not much to do in office on Monday really (quite apart from few customers fuming with rage on the phone why we don`t respond e-mails) so chatting to Diego for 3 hrs (3:15 exact timing) was both entertaining and educative (we were taught a lesson about paid plans) so if you also feel a sudden urge to "authenticate your domain" on MailerLite, just ask for Diego....- Conclusion? one would normally ask. It`s in the Diego`s line above "..check it with your service provider"
